Enter your information, like the type of invoice number, license plate, or RMV/DMV/ticket, and select your state.
Just press the “Log In” button to see your invoice.
Add your payment method (credit/debit card, PayPal, bank transfer and you can mail a check)
Click the “Pay Button” to complete the transaction.

How to Register for PayByPlateMA

Follow these registration steps to create an account and make payments:

Go www.paybyplatema.com and select Register at the top of the page.
Enter your license plate number (as on your vehicle registration).
Add your vehicle’s make, model, and year.
Add a payment method (credit/debit card, bank transfer, or set up direct debit payment).
Create a password and confirm password.
Add your main contact details (valid email address, phone number, address).
Accept the terms and conditions.
You’ll receive an account verification code by email—enter it in the provided box.
Once verified, access your PaybyPlateMa dashboard.
Now you can link your E-ZPass MA account details for easier payments. All transactions, invoices, and payment history will be available in your dashboard.

Forgot your password or Reset your password?

If you have forgotten your password, you can retrieve it easily with the simple steps below:

On the PaybyPlateMa login page, select “Forgot your password.”
Click the “Reset Password” link.
Enter your account details and email address.
Follow the steps to set a new password.
Confirm via email, then log in to your account.
Check your email for a confirmation message.
Log in with your new password to ensure it works.

Special Situations

If your license or vehicle registration has a hold, pay the full invoice amount first. RMV/DMV will release the hold within 1–2 business days after payment.

Release may take up to 5 business days if your case is in collections.

If you drive a rented or borrowed car, the invoice will go to the owner or a rental company, who will charge an extra fee. You can contact the company where you borrowed about the payment and billing details directly.
